Our in-home parenting support system.
Parent Coaches provide in-home education. This program allows Pharos Parenting to provide support to families with child development, discipline or other parenting issues. The Parent Coach helps with problem solving, encourages access to community services and improves parent-child interaction. A nurturing approach is used to enhance change and growth. The program is long-term, lasting an average of 9-12 months. This program is provided at no cost to residents of Iredell County.
Exchange Parent Aide is an in-home support and education program for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-17. The program aims to promote child safety and reduce the risk of abuse and neglect by addressing key family challenges. Participants receive personalized support tailored to their unique needs, which may include:
In many cases, other factors are limiting the parent's ability in the home. The Exchange Parent Aide program also guides Parent Coaches to help solve other stressors and issues including:
The Exchange Parent Aide program is an evidence-based program developed by the National Exchange Club and has been peer reviewed and widely accepted as clinically effective for decades.
Q: Is there a cost?
A: No. We receive community support to provide this program.
Q: Who does this program serve?
A: Residents of Iredell County who elect to participate and have at least one child under the age of twelve in the home.
Q: How long does the program last?
A: As long as services are needed.
Q: How often do we meet?
A: One hour per week.
