Tonya Fowler holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Professional and Creative Writing. She has been a part of the non-profit world for 13 years, serving as the founder and director of New Perth Preschool, marketing and event planner for Downtown Statesville Development Corporation, Theatre Statesville Board, Center Stage Alliance Board and fundraising/volunteering for the school that her three children attend.
MSW, LCSW - Clinical Director
Laurie Trosuk has been employed at Pharos Parenting since 2006. She is involved in the Parent Aide program, Parenting Class, and Coaching to Permanence program, and offering affordable trauma-focused therapy. She has her Masters in Social Work and is a licensed clinical social worker. Her undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education, and she worked 14 years in the Head Start programs in Massachusetts and North Carolina.
Family Connections Program Director
Sharon has a BA in English from UNC Greensboro, MA in Educational Administration from UNC Greensboro, Ed.S in Administration from UNC Greensboro. She is a retired educator with 31 years experience. Sharon has worked with Pharos Parenting since 2008 and is the Program Director of Family Connections. She has one son.
Parent Education Coordinator
Robin has lived in Iredell County since 1978. She has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Substance Abuse and Social Work from UNC Charlotte. She is a retired social worker with over 30 years experience working with families. Robin has been involved with Pharos Parenting for many years in Family Connections, Coaching to Permanence, and the Parent Aide program. Robin is currently the Parent Education Coordinator. She has 3 daughters and 3 grandsons.
Susan holds a B.S. in Human Services from Garner Webb University. She has been employed with Pharos Parenting since 2015. From 1995-1997, she was employed as Pharos Parenting's Community Based Alternatives Program Manager. She has worked at Barium Springs Home for Children and Iredell-Statesville Schools. Susan received the Early Childhood Credential and is accredited in Triple P Stepping Stones. She has a passion for child development and education.
Pam is a native of West Tennessee and received a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Union University. She has 11 years of experience with various preschool programs and spent 15 years as a home educating parent. Pam has four children and has been involved as a volunteer with many of their activities through the years. She has been with Pharos Parenting since March 2017. Pam is accredited in Triple P Stepping Stones.
